Growing up in China, Tony commenced full-time dance training at a young age where he was selected to attend the Beijing Dance Academy in 2007.
After graduating Beijing Dance in 2013, he won a full scholarship to the New Zealand School of Dance in the Asian Grand Prix competition in Hong Kong, where he graduated with a Diploma of Dance.
During his professional dance career, Tony danced with Royal New Zealand Ballet, Singapore Dance Theatre and Queensland Ballet where he performed in various works such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Coppelia, Edwaard Liang’s Opus 25 and 13th Heaven and Nils Christe’s Organ Concerto. Some of his favourite roles include: George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations & Rubies, Choo-San Goh’s Schubert Symphony, Carmen and Firebird by Liam Scarlett, Kinsun Chan’s Sticks and Stones, Lunar by Rani Luther and A Folk Tale Pas de Sept (Bournonville’s Bournonville Divertissements).
Working with many well-known choreographers in his professional dance career, as well as teaching at numerous dance schools in China, Singapore and Australia, inspired him to become a dance teacher to pass on the experience and knowledge to his students. He is passionate about teaching quality classical technique as well as focusing on use of artistry.

Shane first joined the Queensland Ballet in 1987, became a full-time member in 1988 and Principal Dancer in 1991. Some performance highlights include: Puck (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Othello (Othello), Frederick (Pirates-the Ballet), Orpheus (Orpheus), Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet).
Shane studied at the Queensland University of Technology where he attained his Bachelor of Creative Industries, Dance (Distinction) and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education.
Some other performances include: the prestigious “La Nuit Des Etoiles” Dance Festival (1993 & 1994), The Phantom of the Opera” (Australian Aids Benefit Concert in 1991), Rosetta Cook’s Little Green Road to Fairyland (QMF 2011) and Heaven Hell and Tango (Arts QLD 2013) Accented Body (Prescient Terrain) Richard Causer & Cheryl Stock (2006) Motel of Memory Jacqui Carroll (2013) Rhythm and Dance Southern Cross Soloists Rosetta Cook (2013).
Some of his awards include: Most Improved Dancer in 1986, Queensland Dance School Award of Excellence in 1991, Young Queenslander of the Year in 1999 PERFORM/4MBS Award.

Nicky has been involved in the performing arts industry for many years both as a performer and a teacher/choreographer. She has also toured Australia and overseas in many productions as a dancer and singer. Nicky’s credits include the Jackie Love Show, Royal Bicentennial Concert 1988, Queensland Day Concert at World Expo 88, Evita (the musical), Swing (the musical), the Australian Film Industry Awards and various television appearances on the Ray Martin Show, Willing and Able and Holiday Island.
She has also appeared in a variety of television commercials and fashion parades. As a teacher/choreographer, Nicky has had many years of experience teaching students from 4– 74 years of age in both jazz and tap styles. She has worked with dance students and has also developed original works for the Queensland State Education Department. Her goal is to help students of all ages nurture and develop the gifts they have been given and enable them to reach their true potential.

Jocelyn began dancing at the age of 5 in Singapore and has since completed all her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded and vocational examinations in classical ballet with distinctions.

Although primarily trained in Classical Ballet, Jocelyn’s love for dance has propelled her to be exposed in various genres of dance. She participated in many various dance performances such as the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) in her school days, achieving Gold awards and ballet collaborations with Singapore Ballet Academy and Singapore Dance Theatre. Jocelyn has also achieved high merits and distinctions in her Modern Jazz Examinations under Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD).

In 2013, Jocelyn started her career teaching 3 years old children to 20 years old young adults mainly classical ballet and jazz, with 90% of her students achieving distinctions every year. To further her teaching techniques, she has also attained her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), to be a certified RAD ballet teacher.

Besides examinations, Jocelyn has also choreographed numerous solos and group dances throughout these years, for dance competitions and concerts. Her students have also won championships and awards in dance competitions.

Jocelyn believes that dancing truly comes from passion and hard work and through that she hopes to inspire children, to love and build up their passion for dance.

Xiaoming Wang, majoring in Mr. Jia Zuoguang, a famous Chinese dancer, graduated from the first choreographer and director of the Beijing Dance Academy. After the founding of the people’s Republic of China, the first batch of dance educators, Professor Qu Hao, graduated from the first undergraduate ballet education department of Beijing Dance Academy. Engaged in dance stage art practice, dance choreography, dance education for nearly 50 years. He once taught ballet character dance teacher in attached middle school of Beijing Dance Academy, during which he served as director of character dance teaching and research office. In teaching, he created the ballet work “Golden Clown” which won the Golden Prize of Peach and Plum Cup Competition. He has trained a large number of talented and expressive ballet talents and helped them enter top ballet companies in China, even as major actors in ballet companies all over the world. He was hired by the Central Academy of Drama to teach the first musical class ballet class and character dance class; Tianjin Ballet actor character dance repertoire; Shanghai Opera and Dance Theatre actor character dance repertoire; employed by Shanghai Dance School as character dance expert. He has traveled to dance colleges all over the world: the United States, Spain, Italy, France, Britain, Japan, Israel, and studied at the Waganova Ballet Academy in Russia. Frank, passionate personality, meticulous teaching methods, diverse forms of teaching experience, affecting a number of Chinese ballet talents.

Xiaomin Yuan, graduated from Beijing Dance Academy with a major in social music and dance education, and Central Conservatory of Music with a major in dance music education. She is currently a senior teacher and senior examiner of China Dance Examination Institute of Beijing Dance Academy. Video instructor, proficient in level 1-13 textbooks. She has been working in the front line of Chinese dance teaching for many years, and has accumulated rich teaching experience in various forms, which has been widely praised by teachers and students. She has been engaged in Chinese dance examination for 26 years, and has always been active in the front line of Chinese dance examination at home and abroad. Her footprints are all over China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas, such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, etc., with a keen observation and evaluation perspective.
